... so, I woke up in a bad mood this morning. And why is there a spoon under my chair? OH, MERLIN. SILLY KITTY CAT. I've been kind of moody lately, probably some PMS or something idk, I think I may possibly ALWAYS have PMS or whatever.
Anyway I am going to "play it cool" today/tomorrow/restofthisweek. As in, instead of sitting her staring at nothing, doing nanowrimo, and vaguely doing apps while considering actually playing, I'm going to sit here, do my freaking apps (likely in the order: Kaylee, Dorea, Remus, Valeria, and then /possibly/ Fredrick though I'm thinking just one kid at ST may be a better plan, gosh), do nanowrimo (almost at thirty thousand, jsyk), and possibly take a break to play one of my MMORPGS and kill some freaking monsters because that's a great outlet for upsetisms.
NOT SAYING DON'T IM ME, because I still am here and talking isn't my problem. ♥

Neither of them are social, in different ways, but I want to make sure that I can still make them interact despite the one's awkwardness and the other's snarkiness, otherwise I'll be in a corner unsure what to do because they won't want to say anything. Nonetheless, I plow on with them. At least I have till the first, gosh. Which is like what thirteen/twelve days away? Sigh. |

Cian blinked, and then seemed to realize that she was upset. "Oh! Your building let me in. And then I guessed the code for your room." After Celia just stared at him, still in shock, he added, "I was just sitting in the outer chamber."

Meh. I felt tired and lazy today. Hence, I didn't get anything done for RPWRIMO, because I suck. And I didn't get much done in way of NANOWRIMO either, really. And then my internet was bitchy this evening DESPITE the fact that we JUST got a new freaking modem which was supposed to quit this shittery.
Dorea's history is finished (thank goodness I'm making her so young), I'm going to write up her personality tomorrow, clean her up, and then a Dorea there shall be! Dominique is a bit tougher, because I'm having issues with her personality, because I need to differentiate her from how she is usually, and how she's become by having a bb (WHO IS NAMED ARTHUR, AFTER KING ARTHUR NOT GRANDPAPPY ARTHUR KTHX), but without changing her central core. I'm trying to make her nicer, but without her being nicer, and she's being a brat with me.

Oh, self. NaNo is days away, and you are already having serious second thoughts. You have a lovely (well, relatively, we can both agree this story is already turning into crap that we don't want to write) story, planned backstories for filler flashbacks at any stuck point, and you're rethinking things?
Soso, I've been watching Stargate SG-1 obsessively for the past few days (minus the Blackout of Megadoll's Evil Internets), and that gets me thinking I should try my pen (aka keyboard) at Sci-Fi. And yet I know, Fantasy is my genre of personal choice in what I read, and have more knowledge in. Which makes me think, what about Sci-fi/Fantasy? The best way I can put it is Wizards in Space, but um that's definitely not what I would write. BASICALLY what I'm thinking of is "aliens" with spacecraft and airships and also devices that are, essentially, "magical" in a society founded in more archaic principles rather than what we generally associate with technologically advanced humanoid species. Okay, that's a stretch since in most Sci-fi I've seen, things are quite "traditional" (current thoughts are of Star Wars society). Well. Some, not most. OF COURSE what I would call in basic, Wizards in Space, has likely been done before but that doesn't discourage me.
And admitting to those thoughts makes it very wantwant. Sigh.
WELL, I'll just sort of "convert" the characters I already have and put them on a alien planet with "magic" doo-hickeys. Merr, where is my comfort zone? |

More plot troubles. I hope that I get out all these bits before start writing, that way I can change my mind and not have to loose wordcount (admittedly, I could change stories mid-story since NaNoWriMo is a fairly informal thing but that would kind of defeat the purpose, no?)
Anyway I've hit the "backstory might be a better tale to tell" part here. See, I was thinking about why the Enchantress (as she as now known) would have cursed the castle/king/wtfever ~so many years ago, and iconning Katie McGrath in Merlin, and listening to the HBP soundtrack all at once. All this combined came up with this; about a 500 to a 1000 years before my story (... which may become a sequel/continuation at this rate) magic was outlawed and considered evil, yatta yatta stuff happens the Enchantress' brother is executed for magic, and so she lays down a curse that by the time it finally comes into itself, magic is no longer outlawed, and is commonplace, and there is an entirely different set of royalty on the throne, clrly not responsible for any excecutings and outlawing of magic. Clrly when put like that it does sound like it makes for better backstory than for me to write it as a story and then someday write my current plotstory as a continuation, but I'm really curious as to the backstory tale now. Of course.
IDEK. NaNoWriMo is still so far away. For all I know, when midnight on Nov. 1st rolls around, I'll begin typing a story about a flying monkey who loves cheese~. (unlikely however) |

... Why do all my characters have to be connected in some way or another? I'm not writing a real "plan" for my NaNoWriMo novel, but I'm writing up relationships so I have some subplot from the start. Oh, and I have something akin to a villain for once! Gasp! An actual, solid villain? NO WAI. XD
Anyway, allow me to elaborate. This King is married to the Queen, but at some point had an affair/relationship with a Servant, which resulted in a kid that was given up and would later become Apprentice to the Wizard, which no one knows. The King and Queen have two sons, the Crown Prince, and the Younger Prince. The Crown Prince is married to the Princess, but the Princess is having an affair-like relationship/is in love with the Younger Prince, who is engaged to some Lady. Now I'm going to need a few more filler-out characters that are less entwined in this mess, if I can avoid it. Otherwise, we'll have the King be the Wizard's twin brother and the father of all his children, who are the Magical Trio of Doom, and can talk to animals while the Princess and Lady are bffies who have to rally the troops because they're Magical Lady Knights of Awesome, or something. And that would be bad, yes.
ETA; oh, I lied. I'm writing how each person is "haunted", beyond the all-around horror junk that I think I will write out until I have an actual plot written. |

SO. I was iconning Molly Quinn alongside Stana Katic from the new episode of Castle (which was awesome, by the way, oh my gosh), and I was reminded of how much I adore this girl and really wish I had a place to use her as a PB which reminded me of when I used her for the infamous (to me, at least) Eleanor "Elly" Beckett, fantasy author and master of lulz who I never really (read: at all) got to play. And I don't want to try to slap her face and her base onto a different name, different person like I attempted with Lilylu that didn't pan out. And to be honest, I find the chances of ever being able to find a game that would fit her next to zero.
In that train of thought, I remembered that NaNoWriMo is coming up, and that I have considered writing a story for her in the past. So, she's added high on my list of NaNo stories this year. Since I clearly can't take the premise of the game she was in, I'm thinking a "dream" tale of her in one of her books. As in, she "falls into"/wakes up in one of her whimsical fantasy tales. The question is, is the fantasy world the dream, or is the life she thought she knew was real the dream? Does that sound like an interesting story premise? I think it does. And I know, for sure, that I can write her, and write her well, so I think she'd be an excellent choice. Also: something new. I don't write very far into stories with people from ~real world, and while there's a fantasy world (that may actually be the real one), it would be new. I like that.
(for those confused this is my dear elly.)
Oh, and I think that I may have a reactability to catnip. Like, the smell is srsly making me dizzier than I was before. I've been really dizzy and light-headed the past couple of days, and it's not just the catnip because I felt like this yesterday and I haven't crazied my cat for a month before this morning, so. If I seem more off-kilter right now, it's because I'm woozy like whoa. |

I was going to be angsty and shit but then I decided that it doesn't really matter because it's been said before, and it's not exactly news when I get angsty so I won't bother. I even considered listing where I would drop characters/games right now, but I don't want to think about that today. And instead of doing the assload of things I need to do, online and off, I'm going to run down some NaNoWriMo plot ideas.
Even though it's not till November, I want to start thinking about it, maybe get together a plan that way I'm not freaking out on Halloween not sure what to write, asking my dad for ideas (that are horrible). And so maybe what I write won't be a total piece of crap waste of a month. Because I realized that last years' work was... idk what it was, kay. So! Some ideas I've had in my brain. If anything looks interesting to anyone, do tell.

However, I am aware that these counts are APPARENTLY a hundred or so words off the "official" count. Because NaNo's Validator hates everyone, especially me. Oh well! Better a hundred than a thousand, like others. Wordcounts are different depending on what program you use. OpenOffice had a big difference from the others I tested. But I have decided I will continue using it right up until the 25th-30th validating for winning, because I like OO's count better >.>
ANYWAY. What I realized in the last couple days that will mean a lot come re-write time in December: If I let her, Daisy will easily hijack the spot as main-main character. Originally Natalia was supposed to be, but she's uncooperative when it comes to... anything, really. Her personality is so boring and cliche, I can barely stand writing her. Daisy, however, being a low-esteemed teen who says "like" after every few words and tends to be made of fun when she thinks because she is just so... I don't even know, she acts like she isn't very bright, but it's because she lets herself be, and she is just so much smoother to write. I have a seven paged chapter of just her, after having multitudes of four pages chapters for everyone else. AND BEST PART? She moves the plot, somehow. Like, when she's around, shit happens.
So, I think when I rewrite, I will make Daisy my new main, and Natalia can have a sub-main spot. Poor Natalia, BUT THAT'S WHAT SHE GETS FOR BEING BLAND.
SO, LIKE, I LOVE HOTWINGS, AND I NEARLY HAS 40K AT WHICH POINT I GET ANOTHER SLIM JIM.

Failish. But now I'm currently at just over 35k which is not fail for today. AND NOW, FINALLY, I THINK THIS STORY IS FINALLY GETTING IT'S FEET OFF THE GROUND. After 30,000 words of most introductions of characters, and useless subplots, I have finally dug out the deep, dark plot of this damn thing. After having the characters spend about two days doing nothing but thinking their crazy and only hinting at frecked up happenings, I have finally struck gold. It's going somewhere!
However, I still figure that by the time I say "The End" of it, it may be at about 100k >.< And that's taking into account that this is only a first book in a possible series. Because I can NOT write a story that wraps up totally in just one novel. Nooo, sirree. I was considering having at least end with everyone who's currently stuck in the past go home, but now I don't even know if I can manage that, boo.

Idea One- Romeo & Juliet, a re-telling of it in a High Fantasy world, with more action, and less gooeyness. And no suicide ending! This one is all Talyor Swift's fault! It keeps tempting me away from my current story *cries*.
