Wow. So, while I was trying to sleep I was doing a brain post (aka a "thoughtful" journal entry that only exists in my mind because I never post it) about Tonks and some things the RPworld does to her that pisses me off, and I had been reading Twilight parodies for the past couple of days and somehow my brain suddenly came to the conclusion that Edward/Bella is a seriously messed up version of Remus/Tonks. Yes, I am serious. And I couldn't go to sleep without Seriously posting about and doing a full comparison because WHAT THE HELL? I would go into my feelings on both ships, but I'll save that for another day.

Well. I wonder if I should do this more often? In it's own, mind-killing way (seriously, I feel really light-headed and sick), it was interesting and fun.

TONIGHT I plan to watch Supernatural and then temper the fright and things of that show with Psych.
Except probably not because I want to watch at least one of those RIGHT FREAKING NOW.
After I watch Supernatural I'll post with whatever I "think" about it. Maybe. If I want to. If I feel like it. IDK.
I am itching to start "officially" advertising AM (![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) ammods- have you seen it? go see it. go love it. now, I demand!), but I'm waiting on a few things before I do that. (OF COURSE, if anyone wants to tell their friends all about it now, I certainly won't mind (akaplzdo) though a few things are subject to change in the mod journal) Is it bad I'm thinking of a third character, already? A founder, if you're curious. Because I miss the days when founders were stuck speaking in the tongue that they actually spoke at the time when they were alive, idk.
Also, speaking of the founders! Their initials bother me. I mean, really? GG. HH. RR. SS. What are the chances? So, I was thinking, maybe their last names are aliases? Like, they just changed them, and they thought it would be chill to have them start with the same first letter as their given names? It makes more sense to me than the idea that it JUST SO HAPPENS that they all had matching given-surname first letters, and all of their last names are ~cool. Gryffindor. Ravenclaw. Hufflepuff (clrly Helga failz). Slytherin (clrly Salazar was a gangsta). It makes sense to me, really. And canon never defines much about the founders besides that they founded Hogwarts, and their hair colour if you go by J.K.'s wizard cards. |

WEIRD THOUGHT OF THE DAY
If one of my characters were an actual person (and if his fandom was a real thing), he would have just begun Hogwarts this month. I find that kind of odd to think about, as I just hit the first paragraph on Hogwarts in his history for a game. IDK it almost makes me want to play an eleven-year-old him from RIGHT NOW rather than what I chose for him IDK ODD.

Here's another odd thought I had.
Hogwarts students aren't allowed to go to Hogsmeade until third year, and only if they have a signed slip. I don't think it's even mentioned until the third book/Harry's third year. I mean, I know it was probably just tossed in for plot devices, but I find it odd that an eleven year old or twelve year old never goes "Man I wish I could go to Hogsmeade too. Stupid big kids." or something to that effect? If I were a first/second year Hogwarts student I'd be like "THERE THEY ARE AGAIN. THE BIG KIDS GOING TO HOGSMEADE. FUCKERS. LET'S TOSS SOME EGGS AT THEM!" or "LET'S PAY THEM TO BUY US STUFF." I can understand Harry or Hermione not caring overmuch, but Ron seems the sort to be like "Being young sucks ass let's get Fred/George to buy us sweets." Just thought it was odd. |

I'm tired and wet from shower tiems, so I am thinking outloud!
I have noted that most people (myself included) play Remus as coming from either a low-class or middle-ish class household, but you know what would be interesting? Him coming from a wealthy family. I mean, yes, he's clearly poor during Harry's time, but it never really says anything about the kind of life he came from as a child. And if he looked a bit shambley in Snape's Worst Memory, the whole werewolfy thing (or perhaps the fact that Remus was a wolfy somehow made the Lupins loose any wealth they had?) could be the cause of that, rather than the home life that Remus had, am I right? Admittedly, if Remus came from a wealthy household then that would mean at least three of the Marauders did so (and I've seen people play Peter as being mildly so too) and perhaps that would be rather unbalanced.

I just thought of something interesting.
Andromeda was blasted off the tree, and she was the middle mark, and her birth year is generally put as 1953, or otherwise in-between 1951 and 55. It's also said in DH that Andromeda looked ridiculously like Bellatrix. So here's what I had a thought of, what if Bellatrix and Andromeda were twins? I mean, we don't know when Andromeda was born, so it's possible she and Bella could have both been born in 1951 as a set, am I right? I thought about it since Harry notes that they look so much alike that he nearly attacked Andromeda because he thought she was Bellatrix, though notably Narcissa appears to have differing looks enough that he made no real comparison when he sees her.
JUST THINKING ALOUD. Because I'm iconning Michelle Trachtenberg and I remember using her for a fourth-year Andromeda WAY AGO (JESSI WILL REMEMBER THIS, I THINK?), and so I was thinking about the sisters and how I kind of want to play a seventh-year Andromeda somewhere now. |

Usually I have two tabs for reading flists for my cdj, icon journal, and this journal. One usually has an app in it while I work on it. I have three right now, and neither of my two apps (both of which are almost finished). Odd. *is too lazy to close them*
With AM I'm thinking either opening holds in September, opening October 1st or 3rd, OR opening holds early/mid October and then starting on Halloween because that would make me happier than a fat kid with cake because I would find it amusing since I am ridiculous. AS A NOTE TO JESSIKITTEN; I already put down your Lily-hold and Dani's James-hold preemptively since I didn't want to forget/I was bored/in the neighbourhood. Just letting you knowwww.
I had a Harry Potter cake from Patricia and HIS ARM BROKE OFF LOLOL. I was highly amused. I tried to get a picture but ALAS, Patricia's camera sucks.
ALSO I got Sims 3 Collector's Edition from my brother, so. I haven't "officially" opened the bag that it's in because I was alone in the house when I did today. However, I am very annoyed with my brother's girlfriend because she upset my mother and ONLY I CAN DO THAT. Admittedly, my mother overreacts, but come on man. >:|
ALSO SPRINKLES. I think we should totally find a game sometime to play vampire twins named Sprinkles and Sparkles since I think that would be an amazing idea. /lame |

Tomorrow we leave! We expect to be home thursday night, so yeah. Weird.
My dad's currently fishing with his brother, Uncle Kenny, on his banana boat. I decided not to go since I fished yesterday with my dad and his buddies from the Trading Post. I'm tired. Started, and almost finished packing now. My headphones broke so fail. Yeah. Words.
Sirius is going well. I finished his history, and the samples shouldn't take much, but the personality doesn't look like easy. Yaxley now has a first name of Bridget, and I upped her from 38 to 40 earlier, so. She's going to be tough since I never generally play the Dark Side. I need to finish Bea and Charlotte now, but I keep forgetting since I have to switch to their pre-made journals when I work on them and on my dad's laptop I'm lazy. With Bea I just have to finish a bit in every section, and Charlotte needs a bit more history and samples. And then Victoire's a bit of a mess, since I feel that I shouldn't write too much since the game seems that sort. I have some intro-responding to do in Foresight, but I'm lazy again. And on Hiatus, anyway. HA also opened today so I should meander over there.
I need to seriously get some RP things done today since I'll be on the road tomorrow and thursday, and thurday night I'll probably just crash and burn, and friday be getting back to normal.
... the new Harry Potter movie is coming out sometime this month and I cannot remember the day! I want to see it in theatres. Just because.
Keysmash, I will be so happy to return to my beloved computer so I can do some PB finding. I'm iffy about Sirius' PB, but I think he may be okay. And I finally found a good PB for Bridget, so. And I can set up some journals for them as is my custom and I will be overjoyed. And I'll be able to make icons again, and banners. And can watch Hulu properly (not that dad's laptop isn't great). And load up this years couple of tapes and show you all the hilarity that is my father and fourth of july silly.

luckily I don't think I have to worry about my other shows, since Fringe, Legend of the Seeker, and Supernatural have all been renewed. And Monk and Psych are returning this summer. And Santuary, and Lie to Me this fall. And Merlin and Doctor Who in fall/next year/whenever the British say so.
AND ALSO CHUCK. CHUCK BETTER NOT BE CANCELED I LOVE CHUCK.
And then that show, Glee, looks like it might be okay for lolariousness. AND MERLIN IS GOING TO BE ON NBC. The Philowhatsitimtoolazytocopypastethename looks mildly lame, but I may give it a shot if I see it pop up on Hulu. The Listener as well. And if they call any more shows "The SOMETHINGOROTHER" someone is going to get hit by my books. I MEAN, WAY TO BE ORIGINAL AND CREATIVE. JUST LEAVE OUT THE "THE", AND IT WOULD SOUND FINE. I mean, really now. It's like saying "The I Dream of Genie" or "The Cheers" or "The Monk" or "The Psych" or "The Doctor Who". IT'S NOT RIGHT.
Looks like good movies this year. Up, Land of the Lost, Year One, HPB, Taking Woodstock, New Moon, and then some other stuff all look interesting. Well. New Moon only because I like to lol at the dramatic hilariousness of the whole ordeal. And Jacob is cute. |

MY GOD, QWEST, WOULD IT KILL YOU TO DO SOMEONE A FREAKING FAVOUR?!
My dear neighbour has had her phone shut-off along with her internet, and this just a few days after hurting her back terribly, and her birthday. So, she calls Qwest, and they say it's because she didn't pay them, never mind that she, you know, did. Apparently her check on the 28th of August BOUNCED. And OF COURSE they don't give a shit that her Lifeline is connected to her phone, and she has over twenty life-threatening ailments. They wouldn't even turn it on until the 21st so she can pay them. SO, she had to use money she doesn't have in the bank just to pay them, and will now have to pay the overdraft fees (how does it make sense to charge people who DON'T have money?!). RIDICULOUS, I TELL YOU.
OH BTW, have you all seen DanRad's new look?! Looks like Harry's going Tran-Punk!
ETA: Oh, and have you heard that their making a movie about George W. Bush? YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT. A GEORGE W. BUSH MOVIE. |
